NO! We are not saying you shouldn’t buy them. You should, and you must, if you feel the need and have the sense that you’ll use the device in a respectful manner. But what if you want to know the drawbacks of the devices and based on that, will base your buying decision. Nothing is perfect, so are these devices. - No SIM card slot in the basic (IS701R) model: Okay, it has been debated, argued, agreed and battled for the fact that no SIM card holds no place for the common user. Let’s face it, one can’t go searching the Wi-Fi for their tablets when they hit the road. We want an all time on connection which keeps us connected 24×7, even though we are just chatting away with girls over Facebook.
- No option to make a phone call in ANY of the model: I don’t know what exactly these guys at Pantel were thinking when they took UbiSlate7 as a benchmark for their devices, but man, they have made a blaring omission of not including a option to create phone callusing SIM through the device. On the other hand though, we are still wondering how exactly would people look like holding an 8-inch brick against their ear, figuring out what the person on the other side is trying to say. Probably like this:
- No detailed information about the devices: On a serious note, no device, NOT EVEN ONE, has been explained in detail and thoroughly on their website and only hardware specifications are provided. It’s just like handing you over the menu card and not telling you how the food is. There should be some real-time demonstration.
- Crappy BSNL coverage in many places: It’s a known fact that at many places, mainly in faraway villages, there’s no telephone network coverage of any company, leave alone BSNL’s, for that matter. And there is network dropping issues while switching places inside a house even. But what we are trying to say is, unless and until there is robust network reach and foolproof connection stability of BSNL at most parts of India, they won’t find pearls looking at the level of land barely below the feet.
- Not all that shines like gold, is one:Yes, and all the things which looks and say of being promising, might be very well those ones which are waiting to get your money out of your pocket. If you fall in those category of people who want to wait-and-laugh-at-other’s-heartbreaks, hold on for some more time till you get laughed backk at. If you fall in those category of people who want to get their hands on anything hot and then cry for the burns, go get yours quick so that you at least have a point of envy among your friends.So that’s it! 5 reasons. i do not agry with the 4th point about the netwotk. BSNL has large network coverage compared to other private network. And network drop isssue is too old. No such issues in recent days… One negative point is their customer care…
I totally agree with u! Nowadays BSNL is far better than Airtel or so because they are transparent and don not deduct money on some crap activation like airtel

Bro, Every network have problem on same locetion, doesnot mean its poor, same places airtel, docomo ,idea reliance have poor n/w, bsnl have good, some places bsnl is bad….. but more or less bsnl plans and coverage is best then any one, if calling is not only the basis. .
As per researches bsnl have best 3G n/w and coverage pan india..

Hi,
I really appreciate and like the low cost Pad. Feature and importantly battery life is excellent. Now the question is, I had created only one new folder in My Pad and stored some PDF’s there and 4-5 comic books. Now whenever I copy new comic books or pdf into the PAD through USB pendrive, reboot it and then when it comes back again, the new folder is gone or the other thing that will happen is the old folders which I hv deleted will stil be ther. No matter how many times I create a new folder , copy new files, shut it down and when it come up again…same issue, same old files , when the first time I had created and all new stuff gone. I have done Factory reset, local format , hard reset… yet no avail… it stil comes back to the old folders, also I have enough space availaible on the pad… PLEASE PROVIDE A VALID WORKING SOLUTION… THANKS
Just format your pendrive by computer, and eject it properly. It the FAT table that not refreshing.

I got it from flipkart, awsome performence. I’m using huawei 173
mobile 3g modem. Super fast with download in youtube. worth to buy.
Battery last 4 and half hours when surfing internet. Very good sound
clarity. But takes 4 hours to charge the tab when completly dischaged.
There is little heating when you keep for charging. You can close your
eyes and buy this tab.
